ആല്‍ക്കഹോളിക്സ് അനോനിമസ്സിലേക്ക് സ്വാഗതം

അക്ഷരാര്‍ത്ഥത്തില്‍ത്തന്നെ ആല്‍ക്കഹോളിക്സ് അനോനിമസ്സിന്റെ കരങ്ങള്‍ ലോകമെമ്പാടുമായി നീളുകയാണ്. ഏകദേശം ലക്ഷത്തിലധികം അംഗങ്ങളുമായി രാജ്യങ്ങളില്‍ ഇന്ന് എ.എ.യുടെ സാന്നിദ്ധ്യമുണ്ട്. ഇന്‍ഡ്യയില്‍ 1500 ഓളം ഗ്രൂപ്പുകളും, കേരളത്തില്‍ ഏകദേശം 400 ഗ്രൂപ്പുകളിലായി 3000ത്തോളം അംഗങ്ങളും സജീവമാണ്.

1,18,000ത്തിലധികം എ.എ. ഗ്രൂപ്പുകള്‍ ലോകമെമ്പാടുമായി പ്രവര്‍ത്തനം നടത്തുന്നു. എ.എയുടെ സാഹിത്യങ്ങള്‍ ആഫ്രിക്കന്‍സ്, അറബിക്, നേപ്പാളി, പേര്‍ ഷ്യന്‍, സ്വാഹിലി, വിയറ്റ്നാമീസ് കൂടാതെ ഇന്‍ഡ്യയിലെ വിവിധ ഭാഷകളിലേക്കും വിവര്‍ത്തനം ചെയ്തിട്ടുണ്ട്.

ലോകത്തെവിടെയായിരുന്നാലും, ഏത് ഭാഷ സംസാരിക്കുന്നവരായാലും, ദുരിതമനുഭവിക്കുന്ന മദ്യാസക്തര്‍ക്ക് മോചനത്തിന്റെ സന്ദേശമെത്തിക്കുവാന്‍ ഞങ്ങള്‍ അവിടെയുണ്ട്. ലോകത്തിന്റെ എല്ലാ ഭാഗങ്ങളില്‍നിന്നും രണ്ടുവര്‍ഷത്തിലൊരിക്കല്‍ ഒത്തുചേരുന്ന W.S.M (വേള്‍ഡ് സര്‍വീസ് മീറ്റ്) പ്രതിനിധികള്‍, തങ്ങളുടെ അനുഭവങ്ങളും ശക്തിയും പ്രതീക്ഷയും പങ്കുവയ്ക്കുന്ന വേദിയായ വേള്‍ഡ് സര്‍വീസ് മീറ്റില്‍ഈ ലക്ഷ്യം കൈവരിക്കുന്നതിനുള്ള വഴികളും മാര്‍ഗ്ഗങ്ങളും കണ്ടെത്തുന്നു. ലോകത്താകമാനമുള്ള എ.എ.യുടെ ആവശ്യങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് പ്രതിവിധികണ്ടെത്തുന്ന സജീവവും വ്യാപകവുമായ അനുഭവവിനിമയം എന്ന് വിശേഷിപ്പിക്കപ്പെടുന്ന വേള്‍ഡ് സര്‍വീസ് മീറ്റ് സെഷനുകളില്‍, പങ്കെടുക്കുന്ന രാജ്യങ്ങളിലെ എ.എ.യുടെ വികസനവുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട നിരവധി പ്രശ്നങ്ങള്‍ കൈകാര്യം ചെയ്യുന്നു. ഇന്‍ഡ്യയില്‍ രാജ്യത്തിന്റെ ഓരോ ഏരിയയില്‍ നിന്നുമുള്ള ഡെലിഗേറ്റുകള്‍ വര്‍ഷംതോറും ഒത്തുചേരുന്ന ജനറല്‍ സര്‍വീസ് കോണ്‍ഫറന്‍സാണ് ഈ സേവനം ചെയ്യുന്നത്.

Welcome to Alcoholics Anonymous

The hand of Alcoholics Anonymous (A.A.) extends – literally – around the globe. Today, an A.A. presence can be found in approximately 180 nations worldwide, with membership estimated at over two million. There are more than 118,000 A.A. groups around the world and A.A.’s literature has been translated into languages as diverse as Afrikaans, Arabic, Hindi, Nepali, Persian, Swahili, and Vietnamese, among many others.

We are here to carry the message of recovery to the alcoholic who still suffers, wherever in the world he or she may be, whatever language he or she may speak. Our World Service Meeting seeks ways and means of accomplishing this goal by serving as a forum for sharing the experience, strength, and hope of WSM delegates who come together every two years from all parts of the world.

Described as a living and growing exchange of experience responding to the needs of A.A. worldwide, WSM sessions cover a broad range of issues pertinent to the development of A.A. in the participating countries.
